Makeup and Munchies
wake, beat, bake
Hey!
For today's post I'm going to be doing a review on the Kylie Cosmetics Royal Peach Palette. The palette retails for $45.00 and comes with twelve shadows and one medium sized blending brush. As far as the packaging of this product, I think Kylie and her team were spot on. It feels like a high-quality eyeshadow palette based on its weight, and the fact that it comes with a HUGE mirror on the inside makes it that much better. The medium-sized blending brush, while handy at distributing product throughout your crease, provided me with nothing but discomfort due to the bristles of the brush being extremely rough. On the other hand, the quality of the eyeshadows themselves differs from that of the packaging. The matte shades have amazing pigment when swatching them on your arm, as well as on the lid and through the crease area. The shimmer shades were extremely difficult to apply with a brush, and the pigment was there on the arm swatches, but once it hit my lids, poof, it was gone. To even get the shimmer shadows to show on my lids, I had to use my finger to apply it. For me personally, it is not ideal to be applying eyeshadows to my lids with my finger every single time I do my makeup. This palette is diverse in terms of the colors it provides, but other than that, it really doesn't have much going for it. I enjoy the quality of the matte shades, and I continue to use them from time to time, but it definitely has not replaced my favorite everyday Morphe palette. My Rating: 6/10 Hope y'all enjoyed the review! -Shan :)
