Makeup and Munchies
wake, beat, bake
With graduation right around the corner for those of you who are seniors, you want to look your best on the big day. Rather than worrying about your makeup, following a simple makeup routine that gets the job done lowers anxiety for the big day and can make you look your best. The last thing you want is to look back at your graduation pictures and hate what you made yourself look like. Here are some tips to help you with your graduation makeup!
1. Wear minimal face products: This one is especially for those who have graduations that are outside. With it getting hotter and hotter daily, the last thing you want is for your makeup to be melting off in the sun. By wearing concealer instead of a full on face of foundation, you prevent yourself from feeling like your face weighs a hundred pounds. 2. Do a Simple Eye Look: Don't do anything super extravagant like winged liner or a cut-crease or anything like that because if you mess up, you're going to stress yourself out even more. Do simple eyeshadow, like a light day makeup, and if you feel confident enough in your abilities then do winged liner. If you are a pro at false eyelashes then definitely go for it because this is definitely an occasion to wear them! 3. Wear Minimal to No Lip Products: If you want a light wash of color on your lips, rather than swiping the lipstick on your lips, pat it to get the desired effect. A nude color would probably be most preferable, but if you can rock a red lip then definitely go for it. 4. Add a Pop of Color: To add a pop of color you can add a some highlight to your inner corner or even add some colorful shadow to the bottom lash line to brighten up your look. 5. Wear Setting Spray: One of the most vital steps in makeup is using a setting spray to make sure it lasts all day. For special events, use one that claims to prevent oil and shine. I recommend the settings sprays from Urban Decay or Skindinavia. They will make your makeup last all day long!! Congrats to all of you who are graduating this year!! I hope this tips are helpful for you!! Mwah! -Shannon :))

Hello!! As most of y'all know I am in colorguard and winterguard at my school, and for every show we do a different makeup look. Our show this year was about the flow of water, so it was only appropriate to make our makeup look ALL blue. Our costumes were bright blue, as seen in the picture, and we adorned our look with blue lipstick, eyeshadow, and contour. The products I used to create this look were as follows: NYX Angel Veil Primer: $15.99 Urban Decay NAKED Skin Concealer: $29.00 Rimmel Stay Matte Powder: $3.40 NYX Brights Ultimate Shadow Palette: $17.99 Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner: $7.89 L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara: $8.99 Benefit Rollerlash Mascara: $24.00 The Balm Mary Loumanizer Highlighter: $24.00 **We did use a blue cream highlighter underneath this, but I cannot remember what the name of it is for the life of me. If I ever remember I will update this part of the post, lol. :)) ** NYX Liquid Suede Creme Lipsticks in Little Denim Dress and Jet Set: $6.99 each Maybelline Masterfix Setting Spray: $9.99 Most of these products can be found at Ulta, other than the highlighter, which can be found at Kohls. I am so happy that the season is over, but I am really going to miss this colorful look!! I'm really looking forward to sharing our fall colorguard look with you all soon!! Have a great weekend!!
