Hi!!
So for most of us makeup lovers may know, Ulta and Sephora are two of the biggest makeup carriers in the world. You can find so many products at both stores, but Ulta offers more to the makeup world than Sephora does. Ulta Beauty, founded in 1990 by Richard E. George, offers so much more variety in products than Sephora does. Although Ulta offers less high-end makeup brands than Sephora, they also sell "drugstore products" which makes their company way more open to those on a strict budget. I know that most teenagers cannot afford to buy high-end makeup and a lot of parents are not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on products that their sons and daughters may want. Because Ulta offers drugstore brands like Maybelline, Revlon, etc. it creates a diversity in the people that shop at their stores. Although both companies offer hair products and bathing products, it just seems to me like Ulta has a wider variety of options in terms of their hair goods. In terms of the set-up of their stores, all of the Ulta Beauty Stores that I have shopped at are so much bigger than Sephora and also a lot more clean. The display cases with the makeup at Sephora always appear dirty to me, and they are never cleaned properly or replaced by new palettes. Although this does happen at Ulta, they clean their display cases way more often than Sephora does. Overall, I just think Ulta keeps its doors open to all people, whereas, Sephora seems to be closed off and only for people who can afford high-end makeup. I hope this helps you choose where to shop for your makeup!! I mean nowadays, you could just use the internet but like.... who wants to wait for shipping? Lol, have a great weekend y'all! Today we know trendy eyebrows to be thick and full, but eyebrows didn't always look like that. The most dramatic change to the eyebrow trends changed in the 20th century, and it seemed like every decade has its own eyebrow style. For today's post, I wanted to just share this picture of the history of eyebrows to remind us all where the start of eyebrows was compared to where it is now. We have come so far as a makeup community, but sometimes it is nice to remember where we started.
Hello everyone!!
I hope everyone enjoyed their summer and got a chance to relax. I'm super excited to start posting again soon!! Hopefully this school year I will be able to get up some actual makeup tutorials or at least type some out for you. My makeup style has definitely changed from last school year to now, and I want to eventually share that with you all! I'm also thinking about writing how my makeup journey began and how it has grown since I started. I'm hoping to post something next week, but of course with me there are no guarantees! Have a great friday! Mwah! -Shan :) |
