Makeup and Munchies
wake, beat, bake
Hey babes!
So I realized yesterday that I never did my October favorites, and it's not too late to do them! I will be figuring out a way to post a makeup look next week, whether it's an actual video tutorial or just a picture with a written explanation of the products used is to be determined, but I'm so excited to show you guys a look! Okay, without further ado, my October favorites! :) Foundation- Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream: $6.29 Eyeshadow Palette- Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette: $49.00 Eyeliner- Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner: $7.19 Eyelash Curler- ELF Eyelash Curler: $3.00 Mascara- Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara: $6-7 Highlighter- Becca x Jaclyn Hill Highlight in Champagne Pop: $38.00 Lipstick- L'Oréal Lipstick in Zoe's Red: $5.99 Setting Spray- Urban Decay De-slick Oil Control Setting Spray: $31.00 I definitely didn't have as many favorites this month, but I just got some new makeup, so maybe those will be my new favorites next month. I tried to pick a variety of things that were "drugstore" and "high-end" products for you guys, so hopefully that works. Thanksgiving Break is next week so I will have some time to play around with some new looks. I'm not too sure what day I will be posting the makeup look I'm going to create, so I'll keep y'all updated! Hope everyone has a great rest of their week! Mwah! Shan :)

Hey babes!
I feel like I haven't posted in forever, and I know I'm constantly posting reviews, but I'm going to try and post a makeup look over my Thanksgiving Break, which is in like two weeks. Today, I thought I would just do a quick review of the Maybelline Master Fix Setting Spray. I've been using this setting spray for quite awhile now, and over time, I have grown less and less impressed with it... but first some details on it... The Maybelline Master Fix setting spray retails for around $8.59 at Target, which is where I typically buy my "drugstore" makeup. It promises to be a translucent, light-weight, and oil-free setting spray that will keep your makeup's pigmentation in tact and prevent your makeup from melting. This is the first setting spray I ever used besides an ELF one that my older sister gave to me. Because of this, it worked really well for me, being a first time user of setting spray and all, but since then I have used other better quality setting sprays that have made me realize a few things about this one. First off, the duration of time that I think this one lasts is a lot shorter than other ones I've used. Don't get me wrong this one lasts a pretty decent time before makeup starts dripping off my face, but it's not long enough for the extensive days I have. Also, what a setting spray is supposed to do is make all the powdery, cakey looking makeup look more flawless and smooth; this setting spray doesn't do this... at least not all the time. There have been times where I have used it, and it works great, but lately I've noticed that it doesn't take the cakey look off my face, and for me that is an issue. I don't think this setting spray is a complete waste; I just think there is room for improvement in its formula, and it could definitely last longer. I would only recommend this to people who wear very minimal makeup on a daily basis. Other than that, personally I won't be using this setting spray anymore unless I am in dire need of it. I hope y'all enjoyed the review! I'm going to try and post again next week! Have a great weekend! :P Mwah! -Shan :) |
